We were commissioned to design two visually stunning bar setups within the historic setting of Copdock Hall’s Elizabethan Barn. The brief called for a design that was dark, dramatic, and seamlessly complemented the character of the venue. Additionally, the bars needed to serve as neutral yet striking backdrops, adaptable to a wide range of wedding styles. A secondary task involved replicating the main bar design in the Coach House to create a cohesive, smaller-scale "baby bar."

To achieve the brief, we crafted a design that juxtaposed contemporary elements with the barn's timeless architectural features. The centrepiece of our approach was a dramatic statement arched mirror that stood out against the structured framework of the historic space.

To add depth and texture, we incorporated a stunning fluted walnut wood bar front, which introduced a tactile dimension and provided an opportunity for integrated lighting. The lighting was strategically placed beneath the bar top, highlighting the intricate fluting, and enhancing the bar's visual appeal.

The bar top featured a luxurious quartz countertop with soft grey veining, delivering an element of high-end sophistication that harmonised beautifully with the darker tones of the walnut wood. A sleek black metal bottle display frame was custom designed to complement the dramatic mirror without overshadowing its prominence.

This design was meticulously replicated in the Coach House, ensuring visual continuity between the two spaces while adapting to the smaller scale of the venue. The result is a seamless pairing of elegance and functionality, designed to suit diverse wedding styles while enhancing the unique atmosphere of Copdock Hall.
