Transformed an on-site residential home at High House Wedding venue into an 11-bedroom Farmhouse for guests. This project featured the creation of three distinct and luxurious bedroom designs, including a statement, characterful honeymoon suite and inviting, relaxing spaces for other guests. We also were tasked with creating a sociable Breakfast Room for guests to use in the morning, as well as transitional hallway/landing areas.
One of the biggest tasks with this project was creating a design which worked in two very different aged properties. One side being the historic White House, a Grade II listed building dating back to around 1450 and the other a contrasting contemporary counterpart, the Black Barn.
The design took inspiration from the vineyards at one site, creating a fusion between the classic English countryside and romantic Italian Riviera. We explored the essence of romance and aimed to create a warm and inviting ambiance that evokes a sense of cosiness and homeliness, the perfect setting to celebrate a wedding.
As you step inside you are greeted by a harmonious blend of both worlds.
The colours take inspiration from the Mediterranean terracotta pots filled with olive/citrus trees and blues from the Italian waters. The English Countryside represents lush greens lawns and delicate fragrant English roses. These all come together to create sophistication and romance.
We successfully blended designs across the two properties by incorporating a mix of modern and classic furniture and using statement colours that harmonised throughout the Farmhouse. The honeymoon suites were elevated with larger headboards and feature wallpaper that exuded luxury and romance. In contrast, darker wall colours were used in the other rooms to create a cosy and relaxing atmosphere.
